This Policy explains the processing of personal data through bufetesalas.es and in the provision of legal services by BUFETE SALAS, S.L.P.

2. Categories of data

Depending on the relationship and service requested, we may process identity and contact data; data included in enquiries and communications; economic, financial and billing information; data relating to counterparties and third parties connected to a matter; evidential documentation; and technical and security data necessary for the operation of the website.

Data minimisation in the initial enquiry: do not provide health data, political beliefs, religion, sexual orientation, criminal information or other particularly sensitive data concerning you or third parties through the initial form unless strictly necessary to explain your enquiry.

Required data: fields identified as required are necessary to assess and respond to the request. If they are not provided, BUFETE SALAS, S.L.P. will be unable to deal with the enquiry.

BUFETE SALAS, S.L.P. may use authorised artificial intelligence tools to help organise information, classify requests, prepare drafts or streamline tasks. Their use is subject to internal instructions, duties of confidentiality, data minimisation and human review.

No decisions are made solely on the basis of automated processing that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects individuals. Where specific processing requires additional information, it will be provided before the processing is carried out.

6. Recipients

Data is not sold. It may be accessed or received, only where necessary, by:

Technology providers acting as processors, such as providers of hosting, email, matter management, security, backups or support.
Professionals assisting in the provision of services, subject to professional secrecy and the corresponding confidentiality obligations.
Court representatives, experts, notaries, registries or other parties necessary to manage the matter.
Public authorities, courts, law enforcement bodies and other authorities where required by law or necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

The website's initial form does not submit or store its content on an external platform: clicking “Prepare email” opens the user's email application, where the message can be reviewed and sent.

7. International transfers

We prioritise providers that process data in the European Economic Area. If a necessary provider involves an international transfer, BUFETE SALAS, S.L.P. will verify that an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another valid mechanism under Articles 45 to 49 GDPR is in place, together with any appropriate supplementary measures. WhatsApp is not loaded as part of the form. A connection to this service is established only when the user chooses to follow the corresponding link; from that point, the third party will process data in accordance with its own policies.

8. Retention

Data will be retained for as long as necessary to deal with the enquiry or provide the service and, subsequently, for the periods during which legal, contractual, professional, tax or ethical liabilities may arise. Data used for marketing communications will be retained until consent is withdrawn or the right to object is exercised, without prejudice to any restriction of processing required to demonstrate compliance with obligations.

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
